Prayer

Prayer is vital to nurturing a Christian’s relationship with God. Through prayer, Christians communicate with God, bring Him their petitions and thanksgivings, and seek His will.

Prayer allows Christians to develop intimacy with God. The Bible encourages believers to pray constantly and rely on God through prayer.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) Praying consistently demonstrates dependence on God and aligns believers’ will with His purposes.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) Bringing anxieties and needs to God in prayer with thanksgiving results in supernatural peace.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14)

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2)

Praying with humility, sincerity, and faith is powerful, as God hears and answers prayers that align with His will. Through prayer, Christians gain peace, wisdom, and strength to follow Jesus.

Christians are exhorted to make prayer a priority daily habit, uplifting all aspects of life to God. Through ongoing prayer, Christians grow deeper in their walk with God.

Looking Forward to Eternity

Our hope as Christians is in the promise of eternal life with God in heaven. We eagerly anticipate the joy of being with Jesus at the marriage supper of the Lamb, as described in Revelation 19. Until that day comes, we aim to live spiritually abundant lives here on earth by following Jesus’ example and spreading the gospel. We believe heaven rejoices over every sinner who repents (Luke 15:7). Therefore, we make it our goal to share God’s love and the good news of salvation so that many more people might join us in eternity. We invite you to visit our church and learn more about walking faithfully with Christ. As true believers, we set our minds on things above, where our citizenship lies, as we travel together as sojourners on this earth (Colossians 3:1-2, 1 Peter 2:11). We long for the day when we will dwell with God forever.
